40 Days of Grace- Day 35

40 Days of Grace- Day 35

Psalm 6:9 The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.

One of the issues that we have to deal with in our spiritual life is to remember that God is merciful and full of grace. This means that when we confess our sins God is faithful and just and forgive us our sins. He remembers them no more. The problem is often that we don’t forgive ourselves. We don’t walk in that forgiveness. David sinned greatly against the Lord and he paid a high price for his sin. Yet he knew, that when he confessed God could be trusted to forgive, to show grace. David had the confidence in the Lord’s promises of grace and so should we. No matter how far we have fallen God’s grace will lift us up!

The fact that any sinner survives is because of God: His mercy, His goodness, His kindness , and it’s intended to show us that God by nature is a saving God, a gracious, merciful, loving, tender, compassionate, kind and redeemer. Yes, it is correct , “No matter how far we have fallen God’s grace will lift us up!” Our sins are not greater than God’s mercy, goodness, kindness …

I found it takes alot of prayer with a deep desire to be one with Jesus. A complete submission to Jesus! I also believe that praying with church members is a benefit along with taking the sacraments, faithfulness in attending church. It is not what we do but that our heart, mind and soul aches for the oneness with God. Peace!
