James 4:6-10 But he gives us more grace. That is why scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.
Seems unfair, The rich getting richer and we are the rich! In the story of the talents, the ones who used the talents for the master’s gain were given more and the one who feared the master and hid it away lost what he had. That’s the power of grace. The more we humble ourselves to God the more grace he gives us. The more we submit to His will, the more power we have against the enemy of our souls. The closer we get to God the more of His presence he reveals to us. Grace comes with a caveat. We have the opportunity to avail everything that the grace of God gives yet we have to humble ourselves and submit to the giver of grace. He can be trusted to provide all that we need according to His riches in glory!
