Psalm 51:1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.
When’s the last time you cried out to the Lord for His grace and mercy? In this very famous and important passage of the bible, David cries to God for his grace amidst the devastation of his sin and its consequences. He didn’t run away from God, he didn’t hide from God like Adam and Eve. He knew that God could be trusted to forgive and offer grace and so he cried out to him. When you sin, do you cry out to God and ask for his grace or do you hide your sin from the Lord? Remember, he sees and he knows. Nothing escapes his eyes. Why not humble yourself and cry out to the God who offers grace? You’ll be blessed, forgiven, and restored in fellowship with Him. Why not?
