Good Shepherd Church is a traditional and conservative Episcopal church in the Dallas Diocese. Our Sunday and Wednesday services are communion services and follow the liturgy found in the Book of Common Prayer. We also enjoy informal worship and fellowship during our other events and activities. Check out our events page to see what is happening at Good Shepherd this month!
Good Shepherd’s goal is to fulfill the Great Commandment, to love God and our neighbors, by obeying the Great Commission. We are here to:
- Bring people to Jesus
- Develop and encourage spiritual growth
- Glorify God through worship and service
Follow Jesus – “So whoever sets aside one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:19
Serve Jesus – When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus told him, “Feed my lambs.” Then he said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus told him, “Take care of my sheep.” He said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was deeply hurt that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” so he said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!” Jesus told him, “Feed my sheep.” John 21:15-19
