Sermons from April 2014
Following the Wednesday night series on the Book of Acts, Fr. Marc takes a look at the 120 people meeting in the Upper Room in Acts 1. Although their numbers were relatively small, they would go on to transform the world with the message of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection and ascension.
Christ is risen! In this Easter Sunday sermon, Fr. Marc shows us that the resurrection of Jesus is at the very heart and core of Christianity, providing hope for all believers that in Christ they have eternal life.
In this Good Friday sermon, Fr. Marc begins by describing the Crucifixion in detail. He then explains how the suffering of Jesus, the Messiah, sets the believer free from sin and death. [Warning: this sermon contains a graphic description of the Crucifixion]
Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus washing the disciples’ feet as well as the Passover supper. In his sermon, Fr. Marc takes a look at Jesus’ amazing humility and servant’s heart. He then challenges us to imitate Christ by serving one another.
In the second part of the series, Fr. Marc looks at Jude, 1 John and other Scriptures as he compares counterfeit Christianity to genuine faith. He closes with an invitation to authenticity through a personal relationship with Jesus and fellowship with the Church.
