Sermons from June 2014
In this sermon, Fr. Marc reminds us that we never stand alone. We represent all of the people who have made an impact on our lives. Similarly, Jesus teaches his disciples in Matthew that “whoever welcomes you welcomes Me.” Finally, he asks us to remember the people who have invested in us, and to make a conscious choice to invest in the lives of others.
Fr. Marc takes a look at the story of Hagar to help us understand that God cares about us even when we go through difficult circumstances. He also reminds us that we should usually hold off on major life decisions when we are going through a storm.
Special guest Carrie Hamilton joins us for Pentecost Sunday, reminding that Pentecost shows us God’s passion to speak to everyone in their own language. She reminds us of the wonderful, powerful Holy Spirit living within us, and calls us to reach out with God’s love to the people He has put in our lives.
Looking at the story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5, Fr. Marc warns about the dangers of trying to put God in a box instead of making Him the center of our lives. He also encourages us to bring God out of the box by growing in our faith and love for Him.
