Sermons from January 2015
Fr. Marc draws some important life lessons from the story of Jonah. He reminds us that running from God never works, but that God still hears our prayers no matter how far we run.
In honor of sanctity of life Sunday, Fr. Marc briefly recounts the history of the abortion and pro-life movements in the last 40 years, then goes to the Scriptures to show that life is a sacred gift from God and that we must do what we can to see that it is protected.
Drawing from the baptism of Jesus at the Jordan River, Fr. Marc describes several important aspects of Jesus’ character. He also encourages us to seek out God’s opinion of our character rather than relying on our self-perception.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We all know the words, but do we know how to pursue happiness? What truly makes us happy? Fr. Marc looks at Psalm 84 and other passages that guide us in the right direction.
